Getting to Know Panagiotis: The Story Behind P-Squared Analytics
The "Double Score" of August 15th
My story with data and patterns began on August 15th, 1990, a day of "double intensity" for me. In Greece, this date is a major celebration, a time when businesses close and people migrate to the warmth of the South.
I was born in the early hours of that day and because of the religious significance of the date, my parents gave me the name Panagiotis. Combined with my surname, Panagiotidis, I became a "double P" from my first breath. But there’s a twist: in my culture, your "Name Day" is often as important as your birthday. Since mine fall on the exact same day, I’ve spent my life explaining that I’m celebrating a "double score."
This is why I chose the name P-Squared Analytics. Actually, if we're being mathematically honest, it should probably be P-Squared-squared .
I was born into a pattern of doubles, and perhaps that’s why I’ve always been driven to find the deeper logic and the "stories" hidden within numbers.
Moving to the Military background, the most significant and meaningful activity, was the lessons I took from the Turret of a charrot. A full of discipline lesson was the 20 cm rule.
Before I became a data analyst, I served as an Officer in the Hellenic Army’s Armored Units. Life inside a tank is defined by one thing: Absolute Precision. I still remember training new crews and explaining the "20cm rule."
To be more specific, If a crew member sits just 20cm out of position inside the cabin, the recoil of the firing cannon could be fatal. In that environment, there is no "close enough." I learned that precision isn't just a technical requirement; it’s what ensures safety and success under pressure.
Today, I bring that same "Military Precision" to your business. I know that in the current socio-economic climate, a small oversight in your data isn't just a typo, but it can lead to a significant "free fall" in your performance.
The Human Side of the Equation
Throughout my military career, I witnessed how incompatible orders and poor planning could lead a team toward burnout (accelerating at a rate of g-squared). It taught me that data is useless if it doesn't serve the people behind it.
In 2020, I transitioned into Economics and Data Science, managing strategic investments and complex databases in the Directorate for the Armed Forces Real Estate Development within the Greek Ministry of National Defence (DAFRED). It was here that I realized my true passion: taking the "noise" of complex information and crafting a handmade story that helps leaders navigate their business with clarity and empathy.
